This role is for a Food & Beverage Expert at Target. The primary responsibilities include ensuring products are fresh, in stock, available, and accurately priced and signed on the sales floor. It involves managing operations, processes, and efficiency within the Food & Beverage department, including replenishment, inventory accuracy, food safety, presentation, pricing, and promotional signing. The role focuses on delivering an excellent guest experience through friendly interactions, product knowledge, and efficient execution of tasks.

What you'd actually do

  1. Create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience by delivering on the following commitments:
  2. Execute Food & Beverage processes including food deliveries, replenishment, straightening merchandise, in-stocks routines, data accuracy, culling, rotation, cleaning, signing and organizing and storing reserve product.
  3. Follow all food safety requirements as outlined in Target’s policies and procedures.
  4. Use sampling and suggestive selling to promote products and increase sales.
  5. Work with vendors to proactively set, maintain and make planned changes to salesfloor merchandise displays and to keep organized backroom space.

Skills

Required

  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older (Bakery Only)
  • Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members
  • Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed
  • Work both independently and with a team
  • Resolve guest questions quickly on the spot
  • Attention to detail and follow multi-step processes
  • Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes
  • Access all areas of the building to respond to guest or team member issues.
  • Interpret instructions, reports and information.
  • Accurately handle cash register operations as needed.
  • Climb up and down ladders if needed.
  • Scan, handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving merchandise up to 44 pounds without additional assistance from others.
  • Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends and holidays); come to work when scheduled, work scheduled shifts and take required meal and rest breaks
  • Ability to work in environments that will include refrigeration and freezer temperatures and conditions
