The Ford Diagnostic Service Platform (FDSP) Business Owner is responsible for overseeing the development, production deployment, and ongoing support of the FDSP ecosystem. This role acts as a bridge between business requirements and technical execution, managing the product backlog, collaborating with IT, and resolving field issues to ensure the platform's robustness, compliance, and alignment with user needs.

What you'd actually do

  1. Oversee and approve the production deployment of code and job schedule changes, ensuring strict adherence to established business processes. You will review, validate on-vehicle and approve API updates, data refresh requests, and application changes through IT-Connect and Application Policy Services. You will also manage application access requests to ensure security and compliance.
  2. Serve as the primary lead for the product backlog. You will prioritize workflows and user stories following established Agile planning methodologies and JIRA-based project management. You will act as a Business Analyst to gather, refine, and translate complex requirements from stakeholders into actionable development tasks.
  3. Partner closely with Ford IT to support budget planning, including consumption and demand forecasting. You will be responsible for upholding Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and supporting business continuity by reviewing disaster recovery test procedures and results.
  4. Act as a point of escalation for field concerns. This includes identifying and resolving issues related to upstream/downstream applications and missing content, ensuring the platform consistently meets the high standards of Service Engineering and Operations (SEO).

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of experience in vehicle information and servicing
  • 3+ years of experience managing technical projects, release sign-off processes, and cross-functional timelines
  • 2+ years of experience working with JIRA and Agile development frameworks

The Ford Diagnostic Service Platform (FDSP) Business Owner is a critical role within the Service Systems and Architecture team. Reporting to the Service Systems and Architecture Supervisor, this individual acts as the primary gatekeeper and strategic lead for the FDSP ecosystem.

The mission of this role is to bridge the gap between business requirements and technical execution. You will oversee the development and production deployment processes, ensure data integrity, and manage application support. By navigating the intersection of Service Engineering and Ford IT, you will ensure that the platform remains robust, compliant, and aligned with the needs of our global service technicians and diagnostic products.

What you'll do...

Operational Governance & Deployment

  • Oversee and approve the production deployment of code and job schedule changes, ensuring strict adherence to established business processes. This position is a salary grade 6 and ranges from $74,300-$124,500., This position is a salary grade 7 and ranges from $86,600-$144,900., This position is a salary grade 8 and ranges from $99,100-$166,200.

Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
