Foundry Manufacturing Engineer responsible for the development and optimization of foundry manufacturing processes to improve product quality, cost efficiency, safety, and environmental performance. This includes day-to-day process support of the molding line and post pouring operations, continuous process improvement projects, and scrap/rework reduction, utilizing 6 sigma problem solving methodology.

What you'd actually do

  1. Direct operations day-to-day process support of the molding line and post pouring operations
  2. Continuous process improvement projects including process-related scrap and rework reduction
  3. Support operations continuous improvement (CI cards) to achieve safety goals, capacity requirements, product cost and quality commitments
  4. The position manages the completion of its own work assignments and coordinates with others
  5. The position is challenged to quickly identify and utilize 6 sigma problem solving methodology resolving problems
