This role focuses on designing, developing, and optimizing automation frameworks for FPGA/EDA flows, incorporating AI skills and Linux-based automation. The engineer will work with Python and Bash scripting to create and enhance testcases, analyze failures, and drive automation initiatives to improve efficiency and scalability. A key requirement is hands-on experience with Agentic AI.

What you'd actually do

  1. Collaborate with AMD’s software, DevOps, and verification teams to achieve common goals.
  2. Design, develop, and maintain automation solutions on Linux platforms.
  3. Create and enhance testcases to strengthen regression suites and prevent failures.
  4. Analyze and debug HW/SW regression testcase failures, performing deep root-cause analysis.
  5. Develop automation scripts and frameworks using Python and Bash.

Skills

Required

  • Good understanding of Vivado FPGA flows or EDA flow, RTL digital design, and timing analysis.
  • Good knowledge and hands-on in Agentic AI.
  • Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting for automation.
  • Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in technical leadership or mentoring junior engineers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

  • 8+ years of experience in FPGA/EDA software tools and flows.
  • Hands on knowledge on Vivado or any related FPGA tool.
  • Must have worked in RTL designs and Timing Analysis
  • Familiarity with EDA, performance testing, monitoring, or observability tools.
