Freight Handler

This role is responsible for ensuring freight quality by inspecting for damage or misplacement, clearing conveyor jams, and fulfilling store orders by pulling merchandise using various systems. It also involves communicating with others and adhering to safety policies.

What you'd actually do

  1. Ensure freight quality through inspecting freight for damage or misplacement (e.g., "strays"), and clearing jams in the conveyor system.
  2. Fulfill store orders through pulling merchandise using the pick-to-light, put-to-light, RF gun, or voice pick system; verifying display for pack and quantity; placing labels in appropriate area on freight; and placing freight into designated containers.
  3. Communicate with (or to) individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing (e.g. customers, suppliers, associates).
