Front-End Software Engineer for Boeing's Delphi team in Colorado Springs, CO, supporting the Boeing Defense Space & Security business. What you'd actually do

  1. Design and implement intuitive, high-performance HMI and visualization components for web-based command-and-control systems.
  2. Build and maintain front-end applications and APIs that integrate with backend services, simulations, and digital twin data sources.
  3. Collaborate with product owners, systems engineers, modelers, and cross-functional teams to translate operational needs into software features.
  4. Create prototypes and iterate quickly to validate concepts and improve user workflows.
  5. Participate in software design reviews, code reviews, integration testing, and continuous delivery.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline experience or 13 years’ related relevant work experience
  • 3 or more years of experience with HMI development skills and prototyping
  • 3 or more years of experience with Java/Javascript/ThreeJS/WebGL/SpringBoot/Flask, A
  • 3 or more years of experience with web services frameworks
  • 3 or more years of experience with Gitlab or similar version control and software collaboration tools
  • 3 or more years of experience with node.js
  • 2 or more years of experience with Python
  • 2 or more years of experience writing developer-facing and user-facing documentation

Nice to have

  • Level 4: 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3 or more years of experience with Agile software development
  • Experience working within integrated development environments
  • Experience with Cesium and CesiumJS
  • 3 or more years of experience with software design, development, debugging, and performing software integration and test
  • 3 or more years of experience working in an Agile Environment utilizing Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.) or similar tools
  • 3 or more years of experience with cloud infrastructure development
  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
