Product Designer responsible for proposing and supervising product designs for the licensing business, aiming to maximize Disney's guest experience and brand value by meeting licensee and market needs.

What you'd actually do

  1. Provide designs and ideas according to the needs of each licensee company, leveraging Disney, Pixar, MARVEL, Star Wars, and 20th Century Studios brands, and strengthen partnerships.
  2. Provide creative designs to maximize sales and brand value in collaboration with the account management and marketing teams in Disney's licensing business.
  3. Collaborate with sales representatives to propose plans to licensees and promote the maximization of product commercialization that aligns with CPGP initiatives.
  4. Understand the latest consumer and market trends for products and brands in charge, and share/propose them to the team.
  5. Manage the workflow with licensees.
  6. Supervise product designs of licensees through the WEB system.

Skills

Required

  • 3+ years of professional experience
  • Graphic design practical experience
  • Basic skills in Illustrator, Photoshop, Keynote
  • Creation of graphic designs (product design proposals using Illustrator, Photoshop)
  • Knowledge of general consumer goods/packaging/trend analysis/product development process/graphic design
  • Ability to grasp consumer, market, and retail industry trends
  • Ability to embody new concepts and ideas into competitive products and present them to internal members and licensees
  • Ability to share client needs with the team and reflect them in designs
  • High communication skills
  • Team player
  • Native level Japanese

Nice to have

  • Basic knowledge of the fashion industry
