This role is for a Manager in Netflix's Games Content Acquisition & Licensing team, focusing on business development and partnership strategy for external game development. The primary responsibilities include sourcing, negotiating, and executing co-development and work-for-hire deals to expand Netflix's game portfolio. The ideal candidate needs strong deal-making skills, a deep understanding of the game development landscape, and experience in contract negotiation. This is a product-focused role within the consumer domain, not directly related to AI/ML development.

What you'd actually do

  1. Evaluate, negotiate, and close key co-development and work-for-hire partnerships across cloud streaming and mobile games that help grow the footprint of Netflix Games with creators and developers of all sizes.
  2. Demonstrate fluency in complex legal and business issues within contracts, and develop thoughtful, win-win solutions with partners.
  3. Analyze the co-development and work-for-hire competitive landscape, and translate insights into actionable sourcing strategies and partnership plans.
  4. Partner closely with Production Operations and the Lead Outsourcing Manager to help expand Netflix’s global network of co-development and work-for-hire studios through strategic relationships with top external development partners.
  5. Bring a strong understanding of the indie game development landscape, including emerging studios, breakout titles, and creative trends that can inform sourcing strategy and longer-term partnership opportunities.
