This role focuses on translating the corporate brand identity into tangible designs for vehicle badging and branding elements, ensuring brand consistency and enhancing vehicle appeal. It involves collaboration with engineering and studio design teams, prototyping, and staying updated on industry trends.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop and refine compelling design concepts for vehicle badging and branding elements, ensuring alignment with the overarching corporate brand identity that provide visual interest to our customers.
  2. Work closely with our engineering, shops (for prototyping) and studio design teams to ensure a unified visual language across all vehicle designs.
  3. Create detailed sketches, 3D models and prototypes of badging and branding elements that effectively communicate design intent and functionality.
  4. Stay updated on industry trends and integrate relevant trends into design concepts to keep the brand innovative and forward-thinking.
  5. Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure designs are feasible and can be effectively manufactured. Supporting engineering to create class A- surface

Skills

Required

  • 5+ years of experience in Industrial Design, preferably within the automotive industry.
  • Proficiency in 3D design software such as Alias, VRED, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong understanding of automotive design principles and manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent visual, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to create high-quality, sketches, 3D models and renderings.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively.
  • Detail-oriented with a keen eye for consistency and quality.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with design thinking methodologies and user-centered design.
