Deel is seeking a General Manager to lead their Employer of Record (EOR) business end-to-end. This role will own the strategy, growth trajectory, and operational excellence of their largest business unit, ensuring it scales globally while expanding into new verticals and industries. The GM will focus on verticalizing the people offering, tailoring EOR solutions for industries with unique regulatory, operational, and workforce requirements, and working cross-functionally to drive growth, product innovation, and operational scalability. This is a hands-on leadership role for a business builder who can operate at both strategic and operational levels.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own the EOR business end-to-end with full P&L, growth strategy, and global operating performance.
  2. Accelerate growth, define and execute the roadmap to expand market leadership.
  3. Drive verticalization, build industry-specific EOR solutions (e.g., shipping, mining, entertainment).
  4. Scale operations, oversee global compliance, onboarding, payroll, and lifecycle; build for efficiency and scale.
  5. Lead cross-functional execution. align Product, Engineering, GTM, Finance, and Legal around clear priorities.

Skills

Required

  • 15+ years experience in GM, operations, or workforce platforms.
  • Proven track record owning and scaling large P&L businesses in high-growth environments.
  • Experience in global, regulated, and operationally complex businesses.
  • Ability to lead large, matrixed organizations and influence without authority.
  • Strategic + hands-on operator with strong execution rigor.
  • Excellent problem-solving, prioritization, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong product and operational judgment.
  • Executive presence with C-suite credibility.
