Global Business Services (gbs) Strategy Consultant

Consultant role focused on transforming corporate functions (Finance, HR, Tech, Procurement) by centralizing and optimizing service delivery using leading technologies, process design, and change management. Involves project support, process analysis, operating model design, and technology implementation.

What you'd actually do

  1. Support the identification, analysis, and implementation of business and technology solutions that drive operational effectiveness and efficiency.
  2. Conduct research, analyze data, prepare presentations, and assist with project deliverables.
  3. Learn from experienced professionals, develop consulting skills, and contribute to impactful client engagements.
  4. Support strategic business transformation initiatives, help develop governance structures, assist in implementing new capabilities, and contribute to optimizing functional processes using leading technologies.

Skills

Required

  • 2+ years of relevant consulting or industry experience, preferably in business operations, shared services, process improvement, or a related field
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in business, engineering, information systems, or a related discipline
  • Demonstrated experience supporting project teams in the analysis, design, and implementation of business processes or operating models
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and modeling
  • Experience preparing client-ready presentations and reports using Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with data visualization and analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and ability to interpret and communicate data-driven insights
  • Exposure to technology-enabled business transformation, including workflow platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, Salesforce), automation, or digital solutions
  • Understanding of or exposure to process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) and change management concepts
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely to diverse audiences
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
  • Ability to travel up to 50%, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.

Nice to have

  • Experience with shared services, outsourcing, or back-office functional optimization projects
  • Familiarity with Robotic Process Automation (RPA) or artificial intelligence applications in business operations
  • Exposure to governance frameworks or operating model design
  • Experience supporting change management initiatives, including communications and training
  • Certification or coursework in project management, process improvement (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma), or change management (e.g., Prosci, ADKAR)
  • Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, MS) or relevant professional certifications
