Global Commodity Manager, Semiconductors

NVIDIA is seeking a Sr. Commodity Manager to lead strategic sourcing and commodity management for Semiconductors within their Boards and Systems Supply Chain. This role involves developing global sourcing strategies, ensuring supply assurance, managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and mitigating supply chain risks. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of semiconductor technology, AI hardware architecture, and supply chain management principles.

What you'd actually do

  1. Build cross-functional alignment with Hardware engineering to identify commodity sourcing strategies with the supply base capable of meeting NVIDIA business segment requirements for Boards and System Supply Chain.
  2. Develop and handle supplier relationships and conduct business reviews that improve suppliers value, performance, and account investments through aligned roadmaps
  3. Negotiate Master Service Agreement, cost reduction strategies and maintain lead-time, cost systems and split of business decisions
  4. Accountable for component supply assurance and inventory flexibility programs that increase flexibility and minimize liabilities
  5. Deliver a supplier risk management system, BOM risk reduction solutions, materials risk mitigation strategies and maintaining data integrity to ensure supply resiliency.

Skills

Required

  • BS in EE, Business, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum of 8+ years experience in global commodity management
  • Comprehensive understanding of AI hardware architecture
  • Deep understanding of Power Semiconductor technology, market, manufacturing process, cost drivers and supply landscape
  • Strong analytical skills such as cost modeling, quotation analysis, supplier selection and supply/demand analysis
  • Excellent negotiation and leadership skills in supplier management and contract negotiation.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills dealing with supply base executives

Nice to have

  • MBA Preferred
  • Technical experience to compliment strong program management skills is a plus
