Global Event Security Manager

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company seeking a Global Event Security Manager to build and lead their event security function. This role is responsible for the holistic security of events, safeguarding people, technology, and information. Key responsibilities include strategic planning, risk assessment, intelligence analysis, internal coordination, operational management, vendor management, and reporting. The role requires experience in security management, event security, risk assessment, crisis management, and knowledge of government regulations like ITAR and CUI protection. A U.S. security clearance is required.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive event security strategy.
  2. Collaborate with the Counterintelligence and Threat Intelligence teams to analyze their findings and identify specific risks to event personnel, assets, and information.
  3. Serve as the primary security liaison to the Events Team, coordinate with the Counterintelligence team to mitigate information security risks, liaise with the Executive Protection (EP) team for seamless integration, and partner with regional Physical Security teams.
  4. Lead all on-site security operations, design and manage access control and credentialing, ensure the secure handling of sensitive equipment (CUI), and provide pre-event security briefings to all staff.
  5. Source, vet, and manage contracts with third-party security vendors.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in a security management role
  • Demonstrated experience planning and leading security for high-risk, high-visibility events
  • Strong understanding of event security principles, risk assessment, and crisis management
  • Familiarity with executive protection protocols is required for effective coordination
  • Working knowledge of U.S. government regulations, including ITAR and procedures for protecting CUI
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently (30-60%), both domestically and internationally
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance

Nice to have

  • Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or Physical Security Professional (PSP)
  • Direct experience operating in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Experience working in government contracting or defense industry environments
  • Proven experience working cross-functionally with legal, events, and communications teams
  • Proficiency in a second language
