What you'd actually do

  1. Support month-end and quarter-end close processes, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis
  2. Perform analytical review of P&L and Balance Sheet, identifying key drivers, trends, and potential risks
  3. Prepare financial reporting and support management commentary for internal stakeholders
  4. Ensure adherence to legal entity control standards, including substantiation, documentation, and governance requirements
  5. Support marketing and business accrual processes to ensure completeness and accuracy of expense recognition

Skills

Required

  • 2–4+ years of experience in Product Control, Financial Control, Accounting, or a related field
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline
  • Basic understanding of financial statements (Income Statement and Balance Sheet) and financial accounting concepts
  • Experience supporting month-end close processes in a financial services environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on accuracy and control
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build effective working relationships
  • Working knowledge and basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Nice to have

  • Exposure to legal entity reporting and control frameworks
  • Familiarity with marketing accruals or expense management processes
  • Basic understanding of data analytics and emerging AI concepts applied to finance
  • Experience with CDGL, Anaplan/Essbase, and Paragon
  • Experience with financial reporting tools and systems
