The Global Sourcing and Supply Manager serves as the critical link between Apple's product teams and the industries providing essential component technologies. This role is responsible for developing and implementing sourcing strategies while identifying opportunities for product innovation through advancements in technology. Success in this position requires a strong understanding of market dynamics, strategic negotiation and pricing, manufacturing processes, and risk mitigation. This position will be based out of Apple's EMEIA Headquarters in Cork, Ireland.

Apple is seeking a Global Sourcing & Supply Manager (GSSM) to support strategic planning, deal structuring, and negotiations. This role requires collaboration with internal teams, including procurement, engineering, finance, and legal, as well as engagement with third-party vendors and suppliers.

Responsibilities

Develop a multifaceted understanding of the commodity landscape in order to forecast industry trends and gauge emerging competitive forces Identify changes in buyer and supplier power within core materials markets and use industry dynamics to Apple's advantage Effectively work with suppliers to negotiate optimal terms for sourcing Understand the trade-offs between cost, volume, and quality in order to strike agreements that meet Apple's performance criteria and secure long-term supply continuity Collaborate across the Apple organisation (Engineering, R&D, Global Supply Management teams) to ensure business goals are met Optimise global supply chain performance through cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking Develop an in-depth understanding of improved manufacturing processes and costs, reverse logistics, and market intelligence, and apply this knowledge to influence Apple's future product roadmap and sourcing decisions Assess and mitigate risks to the business Manage global supply chain disruptions in real time with the support of an international team Provide overall programme management support and contribute to ongoing development of processes, templates, escalation procedures, and reporting
