Northrop Grumman is seeking a Global Supply Chain Procurement Manager 2 to lead a team of procurement specialists. The role involves managing purchasing activities, negotiating purchase orders, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, and developing supplier sourcing strategies. The ideal candidate will have experience leading teams, knowledge of FAR/DFARs, and strong organizational and communication skills.

What you'd actually do

  1. Direct Supervision of staff, assigning work priorities and daily assignments necessary to support the sector objectives
  2. Provide direction to the team to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures
  3. Manage purchasing team responsible for purchasing activities including preparing Request for Quotes (RFQs), conducting bid analysis, negotiating purchase orders, documenting purchase order requirements while meeting compliance requirements and managing supplier relationships
  4. Terms and Conditions negotiations
  5. Metrics reporting and data analytics

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years (or master’s and 4+ years) of relevant experience in Global Supply Chain, U.S. Government contract or Procurement/Subcontracts
  • Minimum of 2 years experience leading a team, process, and/or projects
  • Working knowledge of FAR/DFARs
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance
  • Proficiency in Excel including pivot tables, basic formulas and V-look ups
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and extremely organized

Nice to have

  • Knowledge and experience with complex construction projects
  • MBA or Masters in Supply Chain Management
  • Active Security Clearance
  • Ability to deal effectively with change and challenges and helps others to do the same.
  • Ability to deal effectively with competing priorities and deadlines, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment while demonstrating a professional attitude.
