This role is a Global Supply Chain Program Manager responsible for the strategy, planning, and execution of material and services for a program within the aerospace and defense industry. It involves managing the supply chain throughout the program lifecycle, coordinating with cross-functional teams, managing budgets, schedules, supplier performance, and mitigating risks. The role requires strong business acumen, leadership skills, and experience in proposal support and subcontractor management.

What you'd actually do

  1. Responsible and accountable for the strategy, planning, and execution of all material and services content for a Program or collection of Programs
  2. Acts as the main focal point for the Program Management Office (PMO) for the entire supply chain and coordinates cross-functionally to ensure that all supply chain commitments are met, and that appropriate mitigation plans are developed and executed to address any programmatic risks related to suppliers
  3. Develops the material strategy and leads the activities for GSC in all phases of the Business Acquisition Process (BAP)
  4. Ensures that prior to program execution, all elements of the proposed program(s) plans have completed and accurate schedules, budgets, make/buy plans, and procurement and subcontracts strategies
  5. Leads supply chain Program execution and is accountable for resource planning, material cost, sales forecasting, EAC performance, schedule performance, risk/opportunity management, supplier performance, and supply chain issue resolution

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of professional experience in supply chain, operations, business, or program management OR Master’s degree with 6+ years of professional experience in supply chain, operations, business, or program management
  • Prior program or project management experience successfully executing budgets and schedules of significant scope and complexity
  • Advanced knowledge of supply chain management techniques, practices
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting proposals and major subcontractor management
  • Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams to achieve projects cost, performance, and schedule requirements
  • Strong business acumen to support analysis of supplier impacts on business unit financials for both externally and internally funded scope
  • Skilled and comfortable communicating and interfacing with high level leadership and customer
  • Ability to work initiatives that impact long-term program goals and mitigate risks in addition to urgent requirements to support day-to-day operations

Nice to have

  • Master’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business or related field
  • Experience in leading supply chain activities in the Aerospace and Defense industry
  • 3+ years leading and/or managing teams
  • Prefer Experience with Program Management and Earned Value Management
  • CAM Certification
  • Experience and understanding FAR/DFAR provisions including the requirements necessary to maintain a government approved contractor approved purchasing system (CPSR)
  • Capability to read technical drawings and documents
  • Understanding of hardware, material requirements, and critical suppliers for solid rocket motors
  • High Proficiency working with MRP/ERP systems
