This role is for a Technician II in UPS's Global Technology Services Group. The primary responsibilities include ensuring the successful execution and implementation of customized solutions and organizational initiatives by leveraging root cause analysis, KPIs, SLAs, and cross-functional teams. The role also involves managing IT services, support, and project deployments, potentially including coding and integration. Daily management of costs, staffing, inventory, compliance, safety, and security of IT resources is required. The technician will also provide technical training, manage expenses, and establish professional relationships with customers. The role requires a vocational or technical degree and on-the-job training, with a moderate degree of supervision.

What you'd actually do

  1. Ensures the successful execution and implementation of customized solutions and organizational initiatives by leveraging advanced root cause analysis, reporting, key performance indicators (KPIs), service level agreements (SLAs), internal cross-functional teams, and partner vendor relationships.
  2. Leads, manages, and coordinates the delivery of an exceptional customer experience for all information technology services, support, and project deployments.
  3. Responsible for the daily management of cost, staffing, equipment inventory, system compliance, safety, and security of organizational resources (hardware, software, automation, and network infrastructure).
  4. Provides technical training and development to departmental resources and customers.
  5. Actively plans, monitors, and adjusts expenses to meet and exceed financial expectations and organizational metrics.
