The Global Training Leader at Johnson & Johnson is responsible for developing and implementing training strategies for the production organization, managing a global team of trainers, and collaborating with production, engineering, and quality teams to meet business objectives. This role involves managing training initiatives, budgets, and vendor relationships, and ensuring training solutions support yield improvement and scrap reduction.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead, coach and develop training team, supervisors, and facilitators globally, being aligned with the business needs for scaling the organization
  2. Define and trend training effectiveness using KPIs, feedback from team and performance metrics. Present training and cross training reports to senior leadership.
  3. Partner with manufacturing engineering and production teams to develop training solutions that directly support yield improvement and scrap reduction, ensuring that operators and supervisors are equipped to sustain the improvements.
  4. Manage training budgets, resources, and vendor relationships
  5. Partner with other functions to develop and execute supervisor training programs to support the growth and development of our production/logistics/quality inspection leaders.

Skills

Required

  • BS in engineering, business, Talent development
  • 10 years related work experience in manufacturing or training
  • 5 years of leadership experience
  • Medical device industry experience
  • Ability to articulate and help the team translate SOPs and technical processes into well define and effective training
  • Ability to provide positive and constructive feedback, coach/mentor, and develop individuals
  • Ability to communicate ideas and information clearly and effectively
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Nice to have

  • MBA or MS are desired
  • Working knowledge of SAP
