This role is for a General Merchandise Expert at Target, focusing on guest experience, operations, and sales floor management.   3. Actively support team efforts and assist peers in other areas while maintaining a positive and respectful attitude
  4. Execute daily tasks assigned to you by your leader to help achieve goals that align with business priorities including receiving products, restocking shelves, organizing the backroom, merchandise set up and maintenance, pricing activities, and putting up promotional signs for GM areas.
  5. Support guest services such as back-up cashier, and digital fulfillment processes (such as picking and packing orders or delivering pickup orders to guests) and maintain compliance culture while executing those duties, such as federal, state, and local adult beverage laws.

Required

  • Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members
  • Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed
  • Work both independently and with a team
  • Resolve guest questions quickly on the spot
  • Attention to detail and follow multi-step processes
  • Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes

Nice to have

  • Guest service fundamentals and experience supporting a guest-first culture across the store
  • Experience in retail business fundamentals, including department sales trends, inventory replenishment, and process efficiency and improvement
  • Executing daily/weekly workload to support business priorities and deliver on sales goals
  • If certified, operate power equipment to move merchandise or store fixtures.
