This role is for a General Merchandise Expert at Target, focusing on operations, guest experience, and merchandise management in a retail store setting. What you'd actually do

  1. Greet: 10ft: be friendly – smile, make eye contact, or wave
  2. 4ft: greet the guest, smile and initiate a warm, helpful interaction
  3. Help guests find what they need and/or resolve issues to ensure a smooth, easy shopping experience
  4. End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you
  5. Actively support team efforts and assist peers in other areas while maintaining a positive and respectful attitude

Skills

Required

  • Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members
  • Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed
  • Work both independently and with a team
  • Resolve guest questions quickly on the spot

  • Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes

  • Capable of working in and exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing certain job duties including but not limited to Drive-Up, carryout, etc.
  • Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift (shift length may vary)
