GNC Engineer responsible for developing and evaluating guidance, navigation, and control systems for aerospace applications. This involves applying mathematical models, control theories, and algorithm development, working with simulations, and integrating hardware/software components. Requires experience with C++, MATLAB, and Python in a Linux environment, and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Design, develop, implement, verify, and test high-quality software and simulation toolchains
  2. Work on a 6 degree of freedom (6DOF) simulation to design and test missile flight code
  3. Work with 6DoF simulation models to evaluate system performance
  4. Work with missile flight dynamics, autopilot and guidance design, and implementation into missile flight code
  5. Work with various trajectory optimization software and tools

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2 year of professional experience or 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree
  • Exposure to C++ development in a Linux environment
  • Exposure to MATLAB and Python toolchains
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance

Nice to have

  • Master’s or PhD in a relevant engineering discipline
  • Control systems theory and flight dynamics proficiency
  • Proficiency in creating and maintaining analysis tools in C++, MATLAB and Python
  • Proficiency in C++ development in a Linux environment
  • Proficiency in MATLAB and Python toolchains
  • Existing active and in scope Secret Clearance upon application
