This role is a Go-To-Market Lead for Google for Education in Sub-Saharan Africa, MENAT, and South Asia. The primary focus is on driving the adoption of educational technology, including AI tools like Gemini and Chrome, across government structures and educational institutions. The role involves architecting and executing go-to-market strategies, driving revenue growth, managing and developing teams, building executive relationships, and cultivating partner ecosystems. What you'd actually do

  1. Architect and execute Go-To-Market strategy for the emerging markets region. Balance the pursuit of sustainable growth with the achievement of objectives and results. Work with Artificial Intelligence adoption metrics across key educational institutions.
  2. Drive regional revenue growth by identifying and capturing new commercial opportunities across the education sector. Lead negotiations with academic institutions, government bodies and key ecosystem partners.
  3. Coach, mentor and develop a team of education technology professionals. Foster a collaborative culture with innovation, continuous learning and customer empathy.
  4. Build and maintain executive relationships with government officials, ministers of education and university leadership. Work closely with these stakeholders to create digital transformation roadmaps tailored to regional educational and AI priorities.
  5. Cultivate an ecosystem of partners (including resellers, technology providers and educational consultants). Leverage these partnerships to accelerate the adoption of Gemini, Workspace and Chrome.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 8 years of experience in a commercial role in education technology, public sector sales, or a related field in emerging markets
  • 5 years of experience in people management, including coaching teams

Nice to have

  • Experience engaging with executive government officials and academic leaders
  • Experience with established networks within AMESA (Africa, Middle East, and South Asia) markets
  • Track record in architecting AI adoption strategies and commercial negotiations at scale
  • Excellent thinking and communication skills
