Government Property Specialist

This role is for a Government Property Specialist at RTX, a defense company. The specialist will manage government and customer property, ensuring compliance with DoD, DCMA, and RTX contracts and proposals. Responsibilities include acting as a Subject Matter Expert, driving process improvements, communicating with internal and external customers, and educating stakeholders on property management. A Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of relevant experience in government property asset management, property, operations, or supply chain are required, along with experience in FAR compliance and the ability to obtain a security clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in RTX Mission Area and program operations
  2. Integrate a culture of improvement and efficiency, including driving innovative solutions to make an impact at the front end of contracting related to customer assets
  3. Change agent leader and facilitator.
  4. Communicate with customers (both internal and external) to shape proactive relationships in a dynamic environment.
  5. Interact daily with other teams, programs, and all business partners to maintain and meet organizational goals and objectives.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5 years relevant experience in Government Property asset management, Property, Operations, and/or Supply Chain role
  • Experience in government property and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) compliance areas
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance
  • U.S. citizenship

Nice to have

  • Working knowledge of SAP (APEX, PRISM), cPDM, and asset tracking systems
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), disclosure statements and Sarbanes Oxley
  • Experience communicating with Program Managers, Directors, functional leadership, customer representatives and government agencies about property activities/lifecycle
  • Experience with team building, conflict resolution and relationship management
  • Experience motivating employees while driving change
  • Adapt quickly to changing situations and urgent requests
  • Experience building and maintaining effective relationships
  • Previous experience with DoD requirements
