This role focuses on supporting and developing CAD solutions for Intel's E-core CPU design. The engineer will define and develop methodologies to improve design efficiency using CAD tools, interact with design teams, and provide technical support. While familiarity with agentic AI techniques for design productivity is a plus, the core of the role is in traditional design automation and CAD tool development, not in building AI models or systems.

What you'd actually do

  1. define and develop methodologies/processes to enable better utilization of CAD tools to improve design efficiency for custom design flow
  2. Interact closely with design teams to mature the CAD solutions for production use
  3. Activities include problem analysis and requirements definition, followed by design, implementation, test, deployment, and technical support of the flows
  4. leverage strong interpersonal skills and excellent written and verbal communications

Skills

Required

  • BS or MS in Electronics and Electrical Engineering, Computer engineering
  • Good understanding of semiconductor physics and basic PC computer architecture
  • Familiarity with Very Large Scale Integration (VLSI) and Complementary Metal-Oxide Semiconductor (CMOS) logic circuit design
  • Well versed in UNIX, C/C++ programming and relevant Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools

Nice to have

  • Experience or knowledge in leveraging agentic AI techniques to automate, optimize, or accelerate design productivity
