Graduate Trainee - Financial Accountant (automation)

This role focuses on financial reporting and accounting processes, with a key responsibility in driving automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and provide insights. The role involves implementing improvements, developing automation solutions, and supporting audits and compliance. Experience with automation and AI tools is preferred.

What you'd actually do

  1. Perform month end close, expense review and accruals/reclassification and support accounting treatment
  2. Yearly budget and quarterly forecast planning and analysis
  3. Perform reporting preparation, task, analysis and coordination activities
  4. Identify and implement improvements to business processes
  5. Define, design, develop, deploy, and integrate new or modified automation to enhance processes
  6. Support internal and external audit, SOX, regulatory, statutory and other compliance

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, finance, accounting or equivalent
  • Results-oriented self-starter
  • Excellent communication skills

  • Comfortable with ambiguity

Nice to have

  • Ability to improve performance and efficiency through the implementation of effective business intelligence techniques & strategies
  • Experience/exposure to automation and/or AI tools (VBA, RPA, Python, Copilot)
  • Able to work with multiple data sources using tools like Excel, Power BI, Snowflake, SQL, MS Access is an added advantage
  • Advanced knowledge of MS office tools
