This role is for a Group Finance Manager responsible for leading financial ownership of major data center infrastructure investments, including land, power, and leases. It involves investment underwriting, deal structuring, cash flow modeling, valuation, risk assessment, and executive decision support within Microsoft's Cloud Product Infrastructure Margin team.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead end‑end investment underwriting and deal execution for large‑scale data center investments, including land acquisition, land development, leases, and build decisions.
  2. Own detailed cash flow, valuation, and downside scenario models used for executive approvals and long‑range capital planning.
  3. Partner directly with acquisition, engineering, and operations leaders to structure and negotiate transactions, balancing price, flexibility, speed to market, and capital efficiency.
  4. Drive build vs. lease and alternative structuring analyses using total cost of ownership, IRR, NPV, and risk‑adjusted return frameworks.
  5. Drive portfolio-level alignment for data center investments, across different form factors, existing presence in the region and accounting for impact from strategic partnerships.
  6. Synthesize diverse data sources into clear executive summaries for leadership decisions
