Group Product Manager for Lyft's Verticals team (airports, scheduled rides, events). This role involves defining product strategy, leading a team of PMs, and owning the end-to-end product lifecycle for these critical marketplaces. Responsibilities include managing a team, setting vision, aligning cross-functional partners, and driving product development from ideation to launch and growth. Requires experience in product management, managing PMs, and working with data science/operations teams on complex marketplace or logistics products.

What you'd actually do

  1. Manage and grow a team of product managers, providing development, mentorship, and coaching to help them achieve their goals and Lyft's goals
  2. Set an ambitious vision for the Verticals team that motivates your team, peers, and leadership — and that accounts for the distinct dynamics of airports, scheduled rides, and events
  3. Understand Lyft's strategic and competitive position. Set your team's goals and success metrics that align with Lyft's mission and drive maximum impact based on data analysis, market research, and usability studies
  4. Completely own your team's products — existing and new — from ideation through development, experimentation, launch, growth, and maintenance, caring deeply about both rider and driver experiences
  5. Lead and align cross-functional partners including engineers, designers, data scientists, analysts, marketers, business partners, and operations to drive a shared vision

Skills

Required

  • 6+ years of experience in product management, product design, or equivalent consulting experience with significant time spent leading consumer mobile apps or marketplace products
  • 2+ years of experience managing product managers
  • Experience working with or alongside data science and operations teams on complex, products
  • Strong ability to define and analyze metrics that inform the success of products and the health of the business
  • Excellent judgment and thoughtfulness about the dynamics of a product ecosystem
  • Strong communication skills and intuition for communication strategy at every level — within teams, with partner teams, and to executive leadership
  • Ability to conceptualize, manage, and prioritize multiple projects for stakeholders
  • Detail oriented with superior organizational skills — balancing multiple projects, deadlines, and requests should be second nature to you
