This role is for a Growth Merchant Lead focused on expanding DoorDash's presence in emerging markets by building partnerships with local SMB restaurants and retailers. It involves extensive field sales, owning the end-to-end sales cycle from prospecting to closing revenue-share agreements, and developing scalable approaches for market expansion. The role requires significant travel (70%+) and is ideal for entrepreneurial individuals with strong B2B sales experience and the ability to build new markets from the ground up.

What you'd actually do

  1. Expand DoorDash’s presence by traveling to emerging markets and developing new restaurant partnerships.
  2. Lead end-to-end, in-person sales cycles– prospecting, pitching, negotiating, and closing.
  3. Sell business owners on DoorDash’s value and secure revenue-share agreements.
  4. Consistently execute high-volume field activity and close deals within days.
  5. Build scalable approaches and playbooks to accelerate market expansion.

Skills

Required

  • 4+ years of in-person, outside B2B sales experience
  • Proven success running short, high-velocity, full sales cycles
  • Strong prospecting, hunting, and negotiation skills
  • Entrepreneurial, adaptable, and motivated
  • Demonstrated success operating autonomously
  • Comfortable using Salesforce, Google Workspace, and sales productivity tools
