This is an entry-level role in a Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) supporting a defense technology company. The primary responsibilities involve monitoring security systems, triaging incidents, and coordinating responses. While the company uses AI and advanced technology, this specific role focuses on operational security monitoring and incident response, not direct AI/ML development or research.

What you'd actually do

  1. Monitor security systems, including video management systems (VMS) and access control platforms, to detect and assess security incidents in real time.
  2. Assist in the triage of security events, prioritizing incidents based on established protocols and escalating as necessary.
  3. Relay critical information to the GSOC Tactical Supervisor and other stakeholders during incidents, ensuring clear and concise documentation of actions taken.
  4. Support the deployment of response teams during incidents, ensuring effective communication and coordination with internal and external partners.
  5. Follow incident response protocols and escalation procedures to ensure compliance with established standards.

Skills

Required

  • High School Diploma and two years of work experience
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills
  • Technically proficient
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Nice to have

  • 2+ years of experience in corporate security, law enforcement, military, or gov work
  • Familiarity with modern security systems, such as Genetec or similar platforms.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Multilingualism is a plus
