This role focuses on driving go-to-market strategy and growth for OpenAI's API business. It involves defining growth strategies, commercialization models, launch success metrics, and customer segmentation in partnership with Product, Sales, Data Science, Finance, and Marketing. The role requires strong analytical skills, comfort with technical products and API businesses, and experience in complex cross-functional environments.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead go-to-market strategy for our API business, partnering closely with Product and GTM leadership to define growth priorities and commercialization approaches.
  2. Define north star goals, launch success metrics, and operating KPIs for new product launches, and monitor performance in partnership with Data Science and Analytics teams.
  3. Develop GTM growth strategies and strategic bets for new products, capabilities, customer motions, and market opportunities.
  4. Define customer segmentation frameworks and tailored strategies for different customer profiles, industries, and stages of adoption.
  5. Partner with Product teams to provide structured customer feedback, market insights, and prioritization input that influences product roadmap decisions.
