Recruiting role for Notion's Go-To-Market team in Tokyo, focusing on hiring sales roles and building the Japan organization. Requires experience in end-to-end recruiting, stakeholder management, and pipeline building, with fluency in English and Japanese.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own the Japan recruiting process for GTM roles, primarily Account Executives and other sales roles.
  2. Operate autonomously across the end-to-end cycle, from direct sourcing and screening through close, while ensuring a thoughtful candidate experience at every step.
  3. Run role kick-off meetings, define profiles, and align interview plans and scorecards to drive consistent, high-quality decisions.
  4. Utilize internal hiring metrics and external market data to proactively propose recommendations and solutions to leaders.
  5. Drive our diversity and inclusion strategy forward, with a heavy emphasis on sourcing and maintaining a well-balanced and diverse top-of-funnel candidate slate.

Skills

Required

  • 7+ years of recruiting experience, preferably in a high-growth, in-house environment.
  • track record of directly sourcing, qualifying, and closing exceptional GTM talent (e.g. Sales, Customer Success, Pre-Sales, Professional Services) based in Tokyo.
  • partner with, manage, and influence leadership stakeholders effectively.
  • coached and guided hiring managers and interviewers through the full recruiting process.
  • built diverse candidate pipelines and helped hiring managers build inclusive teams.
  • outstanding communication and interpersonal skills in both English and Japanese (written and spoken fluency in both are required.)
  • relentless focus on delivering a high-touch, high-quality recruiting experience, while respecting candidates’ and hiring managers’ time.
  • multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment.
  • team player with an optimistic attitude, and you’re comfortable wearing many hats in a smaller organization.
