This is a sales role focused on driving revenue growth for AWS Security Services within the AWS Industries (AWSI) division. The specialist will act as a primary hunter, generating demand, building relationships with CISOs, and owning the security pipeline. The role involves executing sales plays for new AI applications on Bedrock and displacing competitors, requiring deep knowledge of AWS Security portfolio and competitive landscape. Collaboration with account managers is key, with clear swim lanes for security strategy and commercial execution.

What you'd actually do

  1. Proactively identify, generate, and own new security opportunities across assigned Industry Business Unit (IBU) territories; this is a hunter role, not reactive support
  2. Execute targeted sales plays across greenfield scenarios (e.g., customers architecting security for new AI applications on Bedrock) and brownfield scenarios (e.g., consolidation and cost optimization)
  3. Drive competitive displacement against incumbent security providers (e.g., Wiz, Microsoft) leveraging AWS Security Hub momentum and the broader AWS security portfolio
  4. Build and maintain independent, trusted relationships with CISOs and security buying centers
  5. Demonstrate deep knowledge of the AWS Security portfolio spanning Threat Detection, Data Protection, Governance, and Network and Application Protection
