This role is for a Guest Advocate at Target, responsible for providing excellent customer service at the front of the store, including cashier duties, assisting with loyalty programs, and supporting online order pick-up and drive-up services. The role emphasizes guest interaction, problem-solving, and efficient transaction handling.

What you'd actually do

  1. Greet: 10ft: be friendly – smile, make eye contact, or wave
  2. Help guests find what they need and/or resolve issues to ensure a smooth, easy shopping experience
  3. End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you
  4. Scan and bag all guest items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with food safety standards and company best practices.
  5. Know and speak to the benefits of Target Loyalty programs with every guest and assist with application, sign-up, and signing in as needed.

  • Scan, handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving product up to 10 pounds and occasionally lifting or moving merchandise up to 44 pounds without additional assistance from others.
  • Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends and holidays); come to work when scheduled, work scheduled shifts and take required meal and rest breaks
  • Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift (shift length may vary).
  • Capable of working in and exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing certain job duties including but not limited to Drive-Up
