This role is for a Guest Advocate (Cashier or Front of Store Attendant/Cart Attendant) at Target. The primary responsibilities include providing excellent guest service, processing transactions, assisting guests with inquiries, and maintaining store cleanliness. The role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and flexibility with scheduling. While the company uses AI tools, this role does not involve building or developing AI/ML models.

What you'd actually do

  2. 4ft: greet the guest, smile and initiate a warm, helpful interaction
  3. Help guests find what they need and/or resolve issues to ensure a smooth, easy shopping experience
  4. End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you
  5. Actively support team efforts and assist peers in other areas while maintaining a positive and respectful attitude

  • Scan, handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving product up to 10 pounds and occasionally lifting or moving merchandise up to 44 pounds without additional assistance from others.
  • Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends and holidays); come to work when scheduled, work scheduled shifts and take required meal and rest breaks
  • Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift (shift length may vary).
  • Capable of working in and exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing certain job duties including but not limited to Drive-Up
