Manage a team of ~10 Guidance, Navigation, and Controls (GNC) engineers responsible for the GNC subsystem for satellite programs. This includes subsystem/system level analysis, sensor/actuator selection, and Flight Control Software (FCSW) development and validation. The role involves technical leadership, mentorship, process improvement, hiring, and ensuring program objectives are met on time and budget. Requires strong GNC fundamentals and spacecraft system-level knowledge.

What you'd actually do

  1. Manage team of ~10 engineers, including mentorship task assignments, facilitation of communication, and regular feedback
  2. Perform technical review in the area of GNC with support from SMEs
  3. Drive execution on programs for the GNC subsystem
  4. Develop and improve of engineering process
  5. Define the team's organizational, scope, and workflow to promote efficiency
  6. Grow the team through hiring and internal development

Skills

Required

  • Leadership role experience
  • Satellite design and/or operation experience

  • Matlab/Simulink
  • US Citizenship
