Hardware Integration Engineer

The Hardware Integration Engineer will be responsible for the buildout, testing, maintenance, and utilization rate improvement of Applied Intuition's fleet of autonomous vehicles. This role involves deep familiarity with all aspects of the self-driving system, providing vehicle integration support, designing and building test benches, and troubleshooting vehicle systems, computer components, and sensors. The engineer will also be responsible for root cause analysis and minimizing vehicle downtime while ensuring safety.

What you'd actually do

  1. Be the subject matter expert for Applied’s autonomous vehicles by building a deep familiarity with all aspects of the system.
  2. Provide vehicle integration support across the organization by designing, prototyping, and installing proof-of-concept systems and sensors under evaluation.
  3. Lead and support the vehicle from the build-out phase through delivery to our operations team, including final bring-up and shakedown testing
  4. Design and build test benches to validate mechanical, electrical, embedded and software systems.
  5. Troubleshooting the vehicles systems, computer components and sensors performing root cause analysis
