Harness Technician Senior Second Shift – Millennium Space Systems

This role involves fabricating, building, and terminating wiring harnesses for spacecraft and ground systems in a high-reliability aerospace environment. It requires hands-on technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to read schematics and diagrams. The position is onsite and requires US citizenship for potential security clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Fabricate harnesses for spacecraft and ground systems
  2. Build and terminate wiring harnesses to a high quality For Racks, Boxes
  3. Explain assembly procedures or techniques to co‐workers
  4. Work and take direction from team leader for project completion
  5. Confer with supervisors regarding any anticipated production problems

Skills

Required

  • Minimum 4 years experience as a technician in aerospace or equivalent high‐reliability field
  • Certification to J‐STD‐001 space, NASA.STD.8739.4
  • Demonstrated exceptional attention to detail
  • Experience using hand tools, repairing and troubleshooting electronic components
  • Ability to read schematics, harness wiring diagrams, layout drawings, mechanical drawings, circuit layouts, and parts lists
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Experience working in a clean room
  • Familiar with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Demonstrated ability to use computer applications for work documentation
  • Practice good housekeeping, tool control, FOD awareness/prevention, and safety at all times

Nice to have

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and teamwork skills
  • Experienced with all MS Office software
  • Demonstrated ability to perform in‐process verify of work. (2PV)
  • 4+ Years of knowledge of various wire harness tools to include manual and pneumatic crimpers is preferred
  • IPC/WHMA‐A‐620 highly desired

  • Applicants must pass a soldering and crimping test
