Head of AI Transformation for AWS Generative AI Innovation Center in APJC, leading teams to accelerate enterprise AI transformation by embedding with customers, proving impact in sprints, and scaling solutions. What you'd actually do

  1. Lead a high-performing, multidisciplinary team of ML engineers, AI scientists and strategists.
  2. Own the regional engagement pipeline — identify, qualify, and land C-suite-sponsored AI transformation programs with enterprise customers.
  3. Guide the team in designing, building, and deploying production AI solutions.
  4. Drive a land-and-expand motion: prove value in focused sprints, then scale across business units with executive sponsorship.
  5. Operate as a GM — balancing technical delivery, talent development, commercial outcomes, and operational excellence.

Skills

Required

  • 10+ years of external or internal customer facing, complex and large scale project management experience
  • 7+ years of scientists or machine learning engineers management experience
  • Experience presenting complex ideas in writing in the form of authoring white papers, proposals, or other formal strategy documents
  • Experience in machine learning, data mining, information retrieval, statistics or natural language processing
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, or a related field
  • 15+ years sales experience with large global companies
  • Cloud/Consulting/IT advisory sales or services experience; credibility to sell complex transformational IT consulting engagements
  • Customer relationship management, executive presence, and collaboration skills.
  • Experience participating in the sales lifecycle (directly or indirectly)
  • Experience launching technical programs, projects, or related work that include the following: artificial intelligence, machine learning, generative AI

Nice to have

  • Master's degree in Math, Statistics, Computer Science, or related Science field, or PhD
  • Experience with presentations and speaking with executives, IT, management, and developers
  • Passion for educating, training, and mentoring others
