Head of Business Development at Bill.com, a fintech company, responsible for leading and scaling the Business Development organization. This role focuses on driving the team upmarket, creating pipeline through outbound and ABM strategies, and leveraging AI tools to enhance sales development efforts. The position requires strong leadership, coaching, and strategic planning skills to partner with sales, marketing, and operations teams to achieve company growth goals.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead, coach, and develop a team of 7 front-line BDR managers and 50+ reps, building a high-performance culture rooted in accountability, development, and results.
  2. Drive the outbound strategy: While our inbound motion is currently working well, this role requires a critical focus on outbound efforts, specifically creating Account-Based Marketing (ABM) motions rather than just calling leads that have shown interest.
  3. Launch and leverage AI tools: Champion the adoption of artificial intelligence and emerging sales tech, as the sales development area is highly impacted by AI.
  4. Partner to drive AE conversions: Partner closely and effectively with Account Executive (AE) leaders to drive conversions, as well as with the Ops team to fully understand and leverage data and tools.
  5. Set and execute the overall strategy for the organization, ensuring consistent pipeline contribution, KPI attainment, and strong alignment to company growth goals.
