Head of Claims

Lyft is seeking a Head of Claims to lead their risk management organization. This role involves defining claims strategy, managing TPA and carrier relationships, overseeing severe casualty and litigation, and utilizing predictive analytics to identify loss trends and fraud. The candidate will also act as a cross-functional partner, translating claims data into actionable intelligence for various teams and advocating for policy changes. The role requires strong leadership, operational expertise, and a tech-forward mindset with experience in collaborating on claims technologies and AI solutions.

What you'd actually do

  1. Define and drive the comprehensive claims strategy for our rideshare operations and associated corporate programs.
  2. Architect and oversee the claims provider landscape.
  3. Provide direct oversight and strategic consultation on high-exposure, complex, and high-profile casualty claims.
  4. Move the Claims function from reactive management to predictive intelligence.
  5. Lead, mentor, and scale a multifaceted Claims organization spanning First Notice of Loss (FNOL), Customer Care, Quality Assurance, and Advocacy.
