Lead corporate PR strategy for Whatnot, a fast-growing livestream shopping platform. Focus on building and protecting the company's reputation with press, partners, and industry. Responsibilities include shaping corporate brand narrative, leading financial communications, managing reputational risk, and driving B2B/partner communications. Reports to VP of Communications & Policy.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own the PR strategy that establishes Whatnot as the defining company in live commerce – with business press, financial media, and industry influencers.
  2. Partner closely with Finance, Legal, Data and the leadership team to lead communications around financial milestones and strategic announcements.
  3. Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on reputational risk, developing the frameworks, playbooks, and instincts to navigate sensitive situations with speed and judgment.
  4. Lead communications that deepen Whatnot's credibility and visibility with sellers, brand partners, and the broader commerce and creator economy ecosystem.
