Salesforce is seeking a Head of Government Affairs for the Nordics & BeNeLux region to lead engagement with government officials, policymakers, and regulators. The role involves developing and executing government relations strategies, advocating for Salesforce's interests in policy discussions related to technology, privacy, security, and AI, and supporting business development opportunities with public sector entities. The goal is to position Salesforce as the #1 AI CRM Enterprise and a trusted partner for digitalization.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop and execute a comprehensive government relations strategy in close coordination with the local leadership team that aligns with Salesforce’s business objectives in Nordics & BeNeLux.
  2. Build and maintain strong relationships with key government officials, policymakers, and industry associations to advocate for Salesforce’s interests.
  3. Monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory developments that could impact Salesforce’s operations in Nordics & BeNeLux.
  4. Position Salesforce as a source of expertise and a trusted partner in the key policy discussions, including cybersecurity, privacy and AI.
  5. Support the local business development strategy in developing business opportunities with central and local governments, and supporting engagement with key stakeholders in the private sector.

Skills

Required

  • 10+ years of relevant work experience in government, industry, consulting, think-tank, or similar, focused on policy or political work, preferably technology-related.
  • Active network among key policymakers and the digital ecosystem in Nordics & BeNeLux.
  • Strong understanding of tech policy issues, including privacy, security, AI, data, and trade.
  • Ability to write and speak fluently in English and Dutch.

Nice to have

  • Ability to speak Swedish, Norwegian, Danish or Finnish would be a plus.
  • Excitement to continuously learn about the ever-evolving technology landscape, and to continuously augment and transform job responsibilities with AI
  • Good political, analytical and communication skills, with high attention to detail.
  • Experience working with or in multi-national corporations
  • Able to work with colleagues across departments and organizations and across different time zones.
