Head of Growth for Rocket Motor Systems at Anduril, a defense technology company. What you'd actually do

  1. Develop a business line strategy to identify and capture opportunities for traditional and novel motors.
  2. Lead the expansion of the RMS portfolio across US and allied services, including landing multiple new or existing Programs of Record for weapons/missile systems used by the Army, Navy, US Air Force, or US Marine Corps.
  3. Lead RMS’ relationships with established Prime Contractors at the business line executive leadership level. Leverage these relationships to position for, and ultimately capture, SRM sourcing opportunities for new or existing/second-source opportunities on Programs of Record for franchise weapons/missile systems.
  4. Build, mentor, and lead the RMS Growth team in business development, account management, and mission operations functions.
  5. Develop and maintain close working relationships with internal Anduril stakeholders including business line and division leadership, growth teams, program and engineering teams, and corporate functions to identify and shape new business opportunities, communicate and resolve program issues, and provide strategic direction to execution teams.

Skills

Required

  • Demonstrated experience in creating or supporting new weapons/missile programs, preferably with experience in SRM propulsion sourcing.
  • Strong relationships with executives at Prime contractors that oversea weapons/missile programs.
  • Demonstrated understanding of how established Prime contractors make material and supply chain decisions for weapons/missile programs.
  • Experience in working with DOW Program Executive Offices/Program Acquisition Executives, and familiarity with how they make acquisition decisions for weapons/missile programs.
  • Prior acquisition or operational experience with missile systems across across surface fires, air launched effects, and the air defense domains, across a variety of roles and missions.
  • A proven leader that effectively engages and communicates with stakeholders at all levels.
  • A builder and an owner: someone who is willing to put in the work across all aspects of the business, effectively prioritize actions, and own the outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn; undeterred by a long, steep climb to understand technology, programs, process, problems, and customer nuance.
  • Demonstrated ability in developing and executing tactical and strategic plans to some target end state.
  • Ability to identify, establish, and maintain relationships with current and future customers at all levels.
  • Knowledge of defense acquisitions, with demonstrated history in new technology/product introduction, zero to one projects, and scaling to larger defense programs.
  • Ability to travel up to 50-75%.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
