Head of HR Business Process Architecture

Johnson & Johnson Johnson & Johnson · Pharma · New Brunswick, NJ +1

This role is for a Business Architecture Leader in HR Technology Product & Platform Management. The primary focus is on designing future-state HR workflows and employee experiences, ensuring they are intuitive, connected, and outcome-driven before being digitized, automated, or AI-enabled. The role involves leading a team of workflow designers and collaborating with various stakeholders to create holistic and consistent experiences across platforms. While AI is mentioned as a component of future state design, the core responsibility is the architectural design of processes and workflows, not the direct building or implementation of AI models.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own the design of end‑to‑end HR workflows across the employee lifecycle, viewed through the employee persona lens.
  2. Act as the business architect for HR workflows, translating HR strategy and operating model intent into executable designs.
  3. Design workflows that operate across multiple HR systems (e.g., Core HCM, Talent, Learning, Service Delivery tools).
  4. Lead and develop a team of business workflow designers, setting standards, methods, and quality expectations.
  5. Partner with HR Operations, Product Owners, and Technology teams to ensure designs reflect real business needs.
