Head of Merchant Operations for Uber Eats Germany, responsible for the success, growth, and performance of the national merchant portfolio. This leadership role involves strategic planning, operational excellence, commercial strategy, and people management, focusing on the merchant lifecycle from onboarding to retention and compliance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Merchant Experience: Obsess about improving the experience of our Merchants. Design and scale our processes across the entire Merchant lifecycle.
  2. Merchant Growth: Own and drive strategy and scaled levers for our Merchant growth offerings, including catalogue & photography, advertisements, and merchant offers campaigns.
  3. Merchant Performance: Track the performance of the merchant portfolio, prevent merchant churn, and ensure merchant compliance.
  4. Develop a Talented Team: Build, train, and motivate a team of high-performers, empowering them to deliver towards our ambitious growth goals.
  5. Build Roadmaps: Work closely with the General Manager to set the strategic direction and define the long-term roadmap for Merchant Operations in Germany.

Skills

Required

  • Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Engineering, Finance or equivalent degree
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in a competitive e-commerce environment
  • 2+ years of experience managing and developing a team
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proven track record of planning and tracking progress using OKRs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and gain consensus with senior stakeholders
  • Strong analytical skills
  • High proficiency in Excel
  • Fluency in German and English

Nice to have

  • Advanced knowledge of SQL
  • Experience using Python to build automation and small applications
  • Experience owning budgets and managing a P&L
