Head of Strategic Positioning Narratives

This role is responsible for crafting the strategic positioning and narratives for Google Ads, YouTube, and Google AI to target businesses and sellers. It involves translating technical product information into compelling stories, working with product and sales teams, and using generative AI tools for research and iteration. The goal is to shape market perception, earn trust from C-suite executives, and drive market share.

What you'd actually do

  1. Define the core themes and engaging arguments that dictate how Google Ads messaging engages with the market.
  2. Lead the messaging for our Global Ads Narrative – the definitive strategic narrative for Sales, refreshed three times a year to reflect the rapid velocity of our product launches and shifts in the macro environment.
  3. Partner closely with the Global Market Insights team to identify and prioritize the data-backed proof points (first-party and third-party) needed to neutralize participant narratives. You’ll also guide our research and message testing needed to make our content indestructible.
  4. Own the strategic arc of our industry events and executive communications.
  5. Use generative AI tools for deep-dive research, data synthesis, and narrative iteration, setting the standard for how technology is used to sharpen strategic thinking.
