This role is for a Head of Strategy & Planning for Uber's Mobility business in Australia & New Zealand. The candidate will be responsible for defining long-term growth pathways, steering the business with leadership, and identifying new growth opportunities. Key responsibilities include external market intelligence, developing top-down strategies, leading planning and governance processes, and exploring adjacent and new growth areas. The ideal candidate has over 10 years of experience in strategy consulting or corporate strategic planning, strong business judgment, critical thinking, and analytical skills, with experience in complex operational and financial data sets. They should be a clear communicator, able to work with remote teams, balance attention to detail with swift execution, and possess a self-starter, truth-seeking, and driver personality.

What you'd actually do

  1. Define the growth pathway for the next 1-5 years
  2. Steering the business with the GM and cross-functional heads as part of the leadership team
  3. Activating / accelerating new growth horizons
  4. Fuel the business with external insights / perspectives (e.g. macro, market, competition) to enable smarter decisions and expansive thinking
  5. Provide clarity and/or facilitate trade-offs / choices across goals & aspirations, where to play, how to win and resources or capabilities required
