Health Economics Modeling Post Doc

This postdoctoral fellow position focuses on health economics modeling within Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine. The role involves conducting literature reviews, designing and developing economic models for cost-effectiveness and budget impact analyses using Excel with VBA, and performing post-hoc trial data analyses. The goal is to contribute to market access strategies through quantitative research and modeling.

What you'd actually do

  1. Conduct literature reviews related to clinical studies, health-related quality of life (HRQoL) studies, cost analyses, health technology assessments, economic evaluations, and other health economic analyses.
  2. Design and develop health economic models to conduct cost-effectiveness and budget impact analyses in different therapeutic areas using Microsoft Excel with Visual Basic for Applications (VBA)
  3. Perform post-hoc trial data analyses (e.g., descriptive statistics, survival analysis and regression analyses) to provide data input into the economic models
  4. Draft technical reports, abstracts and manuscripts

Skills

Required

  • Doctorate Degree (e.g., Ph.D.) in Economics/Health Economics, Statistics/Biostatistics, Mathematics, Epidemiology, Health Services Research, Operations Research or other relevant program with strong quantitative trainings
  • Proven scientific problem-solving skills and excellent understanding of statistics or econometrics
  • Strong computer (Microsoft Excel with VBA, RStudio & Shiny package) and data analytic skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to work well in collaborative, cross-functional teams and interest in the international context of healthcare systems and technology assessment
  • Self-motivation, independence, creativity, and critical thinking to challenge ideas
