The HEMA Lead - Canada is responsible for developing and executing the Health Economics, Market Access and Reimbursement strategy for DePuy Synthes in Canada to ensure timely, sustainable patient access to innovative orthopaedic solutions. The role acts as a strategic partner to Commercial, Medical Affairs and Marketing and leads engagement with external healthcare stakeholders.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop and execute the Canadian HEMA strategy aligned with global and international priorities.
  2. Lead market access, reimbursement and funding strategies across provinces and care settings.
  3. Drive local generation and adaptation of clinical, economic and real‑world evidence to support HTA, payer and hospital decision‑making.
  4. Translate evidence into clear, compelling value propositions to enable access and adoption.
  5. Lead engagement with provincial payers, HTA bodies, hospitals, clinicians and policymakers.

Skills

Required

  • Advanced degree in Health Economics, Public Health, Life Sciences or related field preferred.
  • Significant experience in market access or health economics, ideally in medical devices.
  • Strong knowledge of the Canadian healthcare and HTA environment.
